Just finished a little installation in the Distillery Gallery for the show “Between the Sheets” which opens tonight, Feb 16th. I was excited to participate in this show as it gave me an excuse to dig through the stacks of sketchbooks I have kept from when I first started keeping real sketchbooks/blackbooks in the late 90s. Although the installation doesn’t necessarily reflect my current direction, its a nice display of the foundation that has led me to where I am today… from my endless sketches of letter and pieces, to my illustration storyboards and oil painting studies as well as a few photos that were wedged between the pages.
